Yes... can be done easily.

Pull the volume knob off. Below the shaft is a torx #10 screw - turn it 90 degrees and that will unlock a spring loaded clip. With the clip unlocked, the unit slides out easily. With this unit out, two small allen screws becom visible - they hold the casette player - easily removed.

Be sure that the parts you're swapping have the same connectors. The CD player, from a dealer, has a different part number depending on the manufacture date - I expect that this refers to the different connectors.


If your have the CD and want to for a cassette, and are in Southern California, and have a model year 2000 - come on over - I'll do all the work!
