I drove my X5 3.0 next last summer over 3800 mi. (one big round trip) at 85mph most of the time and it was as quiet as a mouse.


has anyone experienced noise past 80mph. i don't know if this goes past 100mph, the fastest i've driven in my 2002 3.0 X5. i don't know if it's from the engine or some area in the drivetrain. it's sort of a vibratory sound, possibly engine drone or resonance that might go away at a higher speed.
