X5's cupholders arefar better than the MB ML320 (archive)

I just looked at my neighbor's Mercedes Benz ML320. The cupholders are popout drawers in the dash, one on the left side behind the wheel and another on the passenger side next to the door -- nothing in the center console.

The passenger-side cupholder is ok, but in my opinion the driver's side cupholder is hard to access while driving and it is also smack in the way of the air vent which, in addition to obstructing the air, will change the temp of your drink. I think BMW's cupholders are better, even with their limitations.
