Unlike my motorcycles,I suspect the syn.oil in the BMWs is pretty bullet proof for a lot of miles. My concern would be/is the filter going that long,With Full Effectiveness. I had mine dumped and changed at 4k. Figured it can't hurt getting that initial engine clearances debris out of the system. I own it,not leased. If leased,I would not do a nickel more than "maint.sched".Funny,w/all the obsession and dough spent on this board, a $50 oil change seems like no biggie. GL&BR,md
