I think all of this confusion that TK refers to results manufacturers giving out conservative numbers for 0 - 60 times. The disparity between these figures and the reality of a particular vehicle with a particular driver on a particular day is the source of the confusion. What I do is ignore manufacturer's claims and try to find multiple independant tests to verify a vehicle's speed.

You must compare the same set of figures from the same source. As I said yesterday, the X5 is faster than the ML55 according to each manufacturer's claimed 0-60 times. If the ML500 is faster than the X5, then it is faster than the ML55 (I don't think so!).
