Hi Mickey. I cannot seem to be able to post on the Bimmer board. Will you please insert this posting under AJS's AM radio problems question? He doesn't provide an email address so I cannot email him directly. You might, if you will, include a blurb about his posting his email address - that way I could have written to him directly. Thanks, Serge 1. Set your radio to an empty AM dial spot and tart driving real, real slow. You should hear almost a low sounding click, click, click, which speeds up as you drive faster. Go up to about 20 mph, the sound should be a highish pitched whine now. Put the car in neutral and coast along - the noise should not change at all, it has nothing to do with the engine, only wheel speed. If that's what you get, you've got interference (RF) coming from your front left wheel speed sensor. If you want to demonstrate the sound to your dealer, have the mechanic disconnect the left front speed sensor and the sound goes away! After you do that and determine if it is the speed sensor or not, do the following anyway: Install aluminum foil tape between the third brake light (the one on top of your rear window)and it's mount. Wrap the antenna coax with foil tape where it runs close to the radio amp and the nav computer. This is for the noise heard while depressing the brake and while driving. Install ground cables on the engine exhaust system due to the system being suspended by rubber mounts. I have been told that it is possible to pick up spark plug noise through the radio by way of the exhaust. To fix the left front speed sensor noise, replace the wire going from the underbody up to the phone box in the storage space. Doing this has made my AM radio totally operable and about 95 noise free. Good luck, Serge
