Snow Tires are a must !!!!!!!!! (archive)

As we all know, or most of us East Coasters know that "yes" we finally got snow here in the NYC metro area. Well I decided to go out last night. We received about 5 inches of snow and I must tell you that my X did not perform to well with the 19's. I have a 2001 X sport 4.4. Turning was a joke as the truck did not gather any traction whatsoever. Stopping, ha, forget about it. ABS breaks, oh they work but not after skidding for 20 feet and almost hitting a benz.Oh well, it was the first snow and I like it but I think I will take my wifes Maxima out next time as it performs pretty good in the snow.(front wheel drive)Or maybe I will buy TommyX's wheels from him.....You are probably asking yourself then why did you buy a 4 wheel drive. I love the truck other than driving it in snow.Take care guys..
