On wet pavement I have had no issues. I have the same tire on the 93' for summer use and they perform ok on dry and wet roads. I can't speak about Ice ...
When driving in snow with the X I have no problems going ... stopping and turning is the issue. I was driving around a curve and almost went off the road. The tires have no bit. I also find problems with stopping. I will slide before stopping. In an emergency situation this is unacceptable.
