I'll explain tomorrow but it was something someone did a while ago and I forgot about it until now.

It was me, pop out the clear plastic lens for the light in the ashtray, take a dremmel (or something) and drill a hold in the new tray, ream it out to fit the lens, pop in in the new tray - and you now get light in the new tray - very simple. Now I can see what is in the tray at night.
