On two seperate occasions today my 2001 X5 4.4iSP would not start! I put the key in and turned it all the normal dash lights and radio started without any problems but when turning the key the rest of the way to get the starter to turn over it did nothing. It made no clicking sounds like the battery was dead or anything it just did not make any sounds. After turning the key to off and all the back again about 6 times on each occasion it finally started right up like normal. I know I have seen on here where there were problems with the radio not turning itself off after you have pulled the key out and it draining the battery but that does not seem to be happening here. The car seems to have plenty of juice but just won't turn over until several tries. When it does finally start up it starts right up fine, does not seem to be straining or any odd sounds at all. I will call and take it to dealer this week but just wanted to know if anyone else has seen something similar. Thanks!
