Radio stops playing/Vibration from engine!!! (archive)

1. My radio/CD changer just stops playing at times. Screen stays lit but there is just no sound. This can last a few minutes and may come back on spontaneously. Usually needs the car too be turned off and on for it to restart. Have already taken the car to the dealer once and he told me (after keeping the car for 3 days) they could not reproduce the problem so they cannot fix it. Kinda dissapointed for a car that is 5 weeks old. BTW have the DSP/NAV system and CD changer.

2. Also recently there is a vibrating/knocking sound coming from the steering column/engine area (seems more to the left) when the car is in drive and brakes on. Usually happens a few seconds after the car has stopped and will go away if I lift my leg of the brake. No real vibration is felt, just an annoying sound.

I have had a lot of problems since I had the X5. Somewhat dissapointed for a car that we have had for only a month. If I was not a serious Bimmer fan and owner of other BMWs I would have gotten rid of it. Just don't have then time to drive to the dealership everytime. Already been there twice in 5 weeks. If it was not for the drive/handling would have gotten rid of it. Also wrote to BMW NA 2+ weeks back and no response.
