Just look at the back of your US model X5. If you have rear fog it looks the same.

The only difference is that generally one extra bulb will light up as bright as a brake light to make yourself more visible in poor conditions when you turn on the rear fogs. This is independant to the rear brake lights. It's standard on many cars made for the EU. MB, Land Rover, Volvo and Audi all keep the lights for US (NAS) vechicles. BMW for some reason doesn't include it.
