Scott, I wasn't going to get into how you should set up a vehicle for off road use. Just what makes a vehicle good for off road use. Like I said some of this stuff is debatable. Most people will swear by box frames. Uni-bodyies have been known to develope too much flex over time and unless you add something like an ARB bumper it's hard to get a good recovery point up front for hard pulls. Just towing is fine.

Other than the TJ, Discovery, and G-Wagen the JGC is the only other vehicle that offers live axles and coil springs on all four corners (actually I think Chevy or GMC now offers one too). This IMO is key for off road use and comfort.

I see you've been to GWNF. It's not that challenging but if you're in the area and want to go wheeling there drop me a note. I've been to Moab and plan on a trip to Tellico this fall.
