Hi. I've been reading this forum for awhile but this is the first time i posted. My x5 has just died. The car runs but it seems the transmission is gone.what happened was that while i was driving i noticed,something popped and the transmission was gone, the engine is alive but the car doesn't run forward because it cannot shift! I called BMW emergency and because it's sunday they towed it to my House! i have to get it towed again tomrrow to my dealer. this is 2001 4.4 with 43K miles. thank god it's still under warrranty. i've never had any troubles before this, i've maintained my car very well and i ve never had accidents or ran over big bumps. i can't wait to see what the problem is tomorrow. im very pissed.

Thats why you have a warranty. Give your local dealer a chance to fix it. Are you gonna give up because of one problem? Stay calm, is this really worth getting that upset over?
