I though of that feature way back, and looked into it. I good friend of mine does alarms and R-starts, and cannot do the R-start off the exsisting key. You deff need a seperate remote.

Also, If you decide to get RS, mind you, any electrical problems you may encounter will not be covered by BMW.

Another great feature BMW decides to drop.
