Plus if you have NAV and the phone, you get BMW assist and should the airbags ever deploy in an accident, BMW will notify 911 with your exact location as well as call your listed emergency contact person to advise that you've been in an accident and where.

My two cents, yes - worth it - but negotiate price - my dealer may have been one in a million, but I got the whole package for just over $400.


No, it isn't worth it, but if you want integration with the car, it is the only option -- so it is worth it. You can only buy one that integrates or uses the wiring, steering, dash displays and controls from BMW. The cost of phone, install kit, voice option, compensator, compensator install kit is about $2100. Is that too much to pay? This is my second BMW phone in less than 2 years (X5 and now an M5). No since in skimping to get your BMW right.
