Would everyone please leave Jim alone. Everyone makes mistakes, and buying a Honda minivan probably won't be his last. Now let's all come together and say "we're sorry Jim. We realize that you suffer from X5 envy and probably penis envy as well. Honda makes a fine automobile and you are going to be o.k.". Now, that's better. Oh, by the way, Jim, when are you going to get the f@#k off of this message board?

I hate to say it ap4, but you are suffering from a condition that is known as "projection" in psychology. Projection is defined as the attribution of one's own attitudes, feelings, or desires to someone else as an unconscious defense against anxiety or guilt. That is to say, it is you who has anxiety for the choice he has made - not me. You're the guy (not me) who needs the support of others to certify that his decision was correct! That's why you surf this board as much as you do, but when you spot a post that contradicts your preconceived notions about the X-5, you can't handle it. It's not that I don't understand your angst after reading Consumer Reports and what it said about the X-5's poor reliability. All I can suggest to you ap4, is do some research next time that goes beyond the BMW TV commercials.

Like I said before, a point can only really drive home and get people upset when it is the truth, and that's when the abuse really begins.
