M5 update from Digi...I got a story...X5 related (archive)

My celis (halo) lights went out on the right side yesterday, second day after delivery. Jeeze, I hope this is all. Any electrical problems with BMWs now scare me to death. BTW, on my X5 just before trading it in, my left front turn signal, and then the right front turn signal went out. I also kept occasionally smelling "dead animal" smells about the same time, and it wasn't me. While trading the X5 for my M5, the smell was there. I told the salesman, and he said a lady had the same odor and both of her turn signals went out (I hadn't told him mine were out yet). Apparently field mice like the insulation, eat it, and die. She had dead field mice -- one on each side.

I live next to farms in a small city, and X5, now M5, is left outside. Do you guess they got the Celis lights this fast? MiCkEy is at it again!

BTW, it has been raining nonstop since I got my M5, and it is trashy looking already. As soon as it clears up (Thursday, I think), I'll post some pics. Either that, or I'll put in the front yard with all the other junkers so I can see it from the front porch next to the new wringer washing machine.
