Hi,

I have 01 M3 and 02 4.4 X5, and also a 98 323.

For a dedicated "performance" driver I was pleasantly surprised by the X5. The performance from traffic lights is not bad, in gear acceleration is fine. Handling around the city is pretty good.

However, start to push it into corners and you suddenly notice the mass of the car. You certainly would never want to take it to a racetrack (but then again you would never want to take your M3 to the snow!).

I think the X5 is a great all round car, with very impressive performance compared to its opposition.

BTW does anyone know if valvetronics are coming in 03?

Robbo
