I have a 1990 RX-7 Convertible with 20k on it and it is a keeper for me, so much that I am starting to stock plastic parts and labels, etc......when I first had it worked on, (rotary engine), the guy said, watch out because you may THINK it is is in perfect shape, but laying around does nasty things. I told him that I had while I didn't drive her ALOT, when I did did it was always spirited, which for rotary motors means above 4kRPM. Turns out when he put a borescope down into the motor, he saw a nearly new rotor, (piston), so driving a car moderatly hard when the car is not driven alot is key.
BTW how do you handle the insurance on the Jag? Historical status? I have until 2005 before Pennsylvania sees a 1990 as old so I only tell my insurance carrier that the car is driven less than 2k a year, that is the lowest rate I can get.
