It can be done but I'm not aware that anyone has posted how yet on this or any other BMW board. A friend of a friend of a BMW Service Engineer here in England told me that there is just one wire to cut or disconnect but he wasn't prepared to do it for me! More than his jobs worth I think! - It's probably BMW's best kept secret! but I for one will keep looking!
