Only if a warranty repair can be traced back to the hidden hitch, which I cannot imagine problems the hitch can introduce.

This assumes of course that you use the BMW Wiring Harness vs. splicing in.

I have a Hidden Hitch on my X5 and do not have concerns.

2 things to consider on the Hidden Hitch.

1. No way to mount the BMW Wiring Harness Connector as the BMW Hitch has a special bracket.

2. The Hidden Hitch blocks the threaded connector for towing your X5 out of ditch, not that it is that common of need.
