Oh, I'm so pissed! This weekend I noticed a huge scratch (about a F#$%'n foot long) on my rear tailgate. No clue where it came from-may be intentional, but may be I backed ito a parking space bordering brush. Anyway, the scratch is long, but not through the primer. It's through the clearcoat, but not bare metal. After I calmed down, I thought about what to do and called Griot's garge. They stated they HIGHLY recommended by the description to get their Porter Cable random orbital polisher. They seemed confident that that (with their special machine polish) would do the trick. They stated that the scratch would likely be pretty much invisible after a wash, claying, polish (as described) and wax.

Anyone have 2 cents on this? Anyone have experience with this Griots product?

BTW, I did order what they recommended. Don't know what else to do but body shop, and want to stay away from repainting.
