Reality check: new factory, new line, completely new vehicle -- you're gonna have some problems. If you want reliability buy Japanese; since they don't have the "big brass ones" it takes to deviate from a platform/engine/tranny EVER they're pretty good at making'em by now. If you want kick-a** fun, buy BMW.
Over the last five years I've leased a 7-series and 5-series - both great cars. Last month I ordered an X5 4.4i with basically every option but the sport package. To date, I haven't had any real problems with the bmws' I've leased. I've heard there have been pretty significant reliability problems with the X5. I'd be interested in what people's experience has been with this model. Thanks.
