So are all you 4.6 owners just going out and buying them like they exist? I'm still sitting around waiting for mine to even show up! I still don't understand how every body is just going out and ordering and then getting them. How big is your dealership where your at?

Jim H.

I picked up my 4.6 2 weeks ago, and have about 2000 miles on it already. Before, I had a '96 M3.

The 4.6 accelerates and handles like my old M3, except it's much quieter. It is a tight ride, and thankfully I'm already used to a tight suspension and feeling bumps.

However, the handling is truly superior to almost all sport sedans, and I took a 4.6 offroad at Spartanburg where I saw it's still quite capable of 22-inch water crossings, 45 degree sideways inclines, and driving over rocky trails.

I enjoy the exclusivity, but honestly very few people know the difference.

I don't think you'd regret the decision to get the 4.6, if you're into the X5 to begin with.
