Side air bags were available June '98.
Voltmeter will be available on all cars (dealer installed on already sold cars) when supplies are large enough (probably by Nov.).

Now to the question about traction control. Depends on what you need in handling. In the snow and rain, when you are doing casual driving it can help. At this time it only controls engine power which a capable driver could also do (maybe not as well).

: Differences Are:

: 1) Traction Control
: 2) Side Airbags
: 3) Available In-Dash CD Player ($200 Option)
: 4) Clear Euro Turn Signals
: 5) 2 New Colors: Alpine White and Dakar Yellow
: 6) I hear that the voltmeter will be installed in place of the blank in the center console (Not confirmed yet)

:
: : Okay so I let the allure of the M Roadster get the better of me and I went out and bought a 1998.

: : What are the differences between the 99 and 98 models besides ASC and does ASC really make that big of a difference in handling?
