: For those who couldn't attend Homecoming 98, one of the most impressive demo's was a product called Dri-Wash 'n Guard. It's a waterless car wash, polish and protectant and is used exclusively to maintain BMW's $11M Zentrum exhibit. The product was demo'd on new Z3's and works on painted surfaces, the wheels, the front window and most dramatically, the rear window. In a matter of minutes, it removed the rear window haze and restored the appearance as if it were brand new! Dri-Wash 'n Guard of Greenville distributes the product (864)-294-5079. I purchased a bottle and can honestly say I have never used anything like it. Goodbye Zymol, McGuire's, Mirror Glaze, and Rain-X. It was one of the hottest selling products at the Homecoming event.
I liked it also, it's better than detailing spray which I think is sort of useless (I tried Meguair's).
It's super slick, more so than ymol, and removed water spots.
I just put it on my 325 which gets parked outside while I'm on the road. The 325 took about 1 hour by myself, the Z3 about 20 -25 mins - my wife helped. (Jeez, I really did marry the right girl...) The Z3 is inside 95% of the time. We'll see how long it lasts.
BUT it's pretty expensive at $20 for a trial size with pump. That did the Z3 once and about 90% of the 325. Then I went to the $40 refill.
I'm going to watch this stuff for a while, will report back...
