Gas will run you 1.50 DM (0.90$) a liter. Thats about 4 bucks a gallon. As far as rental prices you should check with a travle agency. I believe they have better rates than the German agencies.

A BMW 520 manual NO/AC (you wont need AC this time of year in Germany) will run you about $450 to $500 a week. If you want to rent a Z3 I believe my dealer rents a 1.9 for about $250 a week. They might be able to get you a 2.8 if you want.
