: Isnt it funny no-one has a straight reliable answer regarding the Voltmeter and its potenial cost, and I call on anyone that went to the homecomming that spoke to a BMW Rep,Mgr,Product Mgr. etc... that was in authority to answer once in for all what we can expect??????? As for the clear lense upgrade, I suppose it too will just have to follow suit with the voltmeter rumor.

About the clear lens upgrade, it has been possible to order clear lenses for your Z3 for quite a while now from Quality Imports. I have them on my M roadster (but not the fronts 'cause they cost too much).

About the voltmeter--during the 2:00 presentation Saturday at the Homecoming, I raised my hand and asked the M roadster product manager Craig Westbrook about the voltmeter. He laughed and asked if someone had sent me there to ask that question. He then went on to say that yes, it would be available free to M roadster owners, and that shortly after the Homecoming dealerships would be made aware of a service bulletin on the issue.

Of course, "shortly" in BMW-speak could mean months, but you never know...
