I've stored my various sports cars every winter, since I live in Minnesota. A few years I've had the luxury have having a heated garage, but mostly it's been in unheated ones. Most of the time I just changed the oil, washed it, upped the air pressure in the tires a bit to keep them from getting flat spots, and took the battery out to keep it from going dead.

Then one winter a cat decided to chase a raccoon (or something, all I saw was the foot prints!) across the hood of my stored car. Not nice.

So now I always throw a car cover on it. That seems plenty adequate to me. Keeps it clean and prevents scratches. That's what I'll be doing with my Z3 this winter in an unheated, very old garage.
: I live in Canada and won't be driving my M in the winter. I was planning to store the car in my non-heated garage, however should I use a car cover or a car bubble (Are these things really any good?). Any other sugestions? Thank-you.
