My dealer mechanics approached me on this one. Seems that all the Z's on their lot leak when washed on the top of the window seal. The solution that they presented me with was to raise the windows 1 to 2 mm.

: I had my top replaced 5 months ago and two of the problems I had with the past top has appeared with my new one. The material is seperating from the plastic seam around the rear window on the outside in the upper left hand corner. The exact place the last one seperated. Also, the damn thing is leaking over the passenger seat window again. Right where the rubber seal joint is. I have taken great care to lubricate these seals all summer. Aarrgh, it makes me want to ditch this thing and get a 328i or an M3 hardtop.

: I love this car, but this top is the pits.

: Any similar experiences out there??
