When I purchased my 1.9 back in early '97, I had heard about the new e46; and had also heard rumors that it would have a 6 cylinder, and that 6 cylinder would likely find it's way into the Z3.
I thought about waiting, but ended up buying the 1.9 anyway. In retrospect, I could have waited waited a year and a half for the 2.5; but I look back on all the good times that I would have missed out on, and it simply wouldn't have been worth the wait.
Cars, like computers, will continue to improve. You just gotta ask yourself whether or not a few extra horses is worth depriving yourself of the fun for a year. :-)
: That for the MY 2000 the 2.3 will get a hp increase to 190 and the 2.8 to 220. Who knows if this is true or not. I will be extremely pist to have purchased a 99 and then BMW goes and ups the horsepower on the 2000 models. Any thoughts from MB?
