i responded earlier this week when comebody asked me if the Z3 lineup will be 2.5, 3.0, 3.4L somewhere down the road and i said yes and my reasons were similar to what Fred said but i doubt the 2.8L model will be dropped until the 3.0L is available and i don't think the 3.0L will be available til the 3.4L is ready (and my guess that won't be till at least half way thru MY2000)

i still think we will always see 3 engine choices for the Z3, but i am not saying that Fred's suggestion of just the 2.5 and the M availble isn't a possibility i just don't think it is very likely

thank god we have the archives and we can check it in another 10 months or so when we know what the lineup really will be
