: 2. I suspect there are VW Beetle parts on that car. The door handles (a meaningless part but easily recognizable) look fishy. Crappy looking wheels. So does the shape of the rear fenders. Is this thing built on the A3 chasis or the Golf/Beetle??

A3 chassis, I think. I agree about the crappy looking wheels.

: 3. I think Audis have always had fragile designs (especially electrically and interior trim) and I will never buy one no matter what.

Sorry, I cannot agree. I've got an A4 and both the electrical and interior trim are far superior to the cheap plastic used in my MZ3.

Put it this way, the windows go up in 1/3 the time of my BMW's and the interior is made of very high quality materials. In my '87 325iC, I had to replace the window switches and power antennae fuses practically every year. (Unless, of course, you're talking about alternators and stuff - I wouldn't know about that stuff because I had no such problem in any of the above vehicles.

:If you were to buy one or heaven for bid trade in a BMW for an Audi, you would eventually grow tired of it.

I know it's your opinion, but I love both Audi and BMW for different reasons. Both are great auto makers, both look, feel and drive different. There are things I love about my Audi that the BMW can't touch and there are lots of things about the BMW where the four rings can't even come close.
