the 3.4L engine isn't out yet....both the US and Euro M3 engines are pretty much limited to the displacement they are at now (even though they are completely different engines)

BMW WILL go to the 3.4L when the E46 M3 comes out and that engine WILL get into the Z3 down the road

as far as cost goes...i am expecting the new engine to come in half way between what the US and Euro engines cost now (so increase cost about 6K-7.5K- BUT this might be a hard sell here if the engine isn't puhing 300+hp)
