NO, don't tell me this. Are they (BMW) really planning on redesigning the rear-end? Hope to hell not for us 99 buyers.

Matt

: they told us at the homecoming that the rear-end is getting a makeover for the '00 MY. Probably to get a better fit for the US plate - reference Alan's license plate frame placement.

: So, if I ever trade up my 2.8 for an M, I'll probably wait now until '01, so I can get the 3.4 and the redesigned butt. Maybe by then it'll have a voltimeter and ASC...

: : i responded earlier this week when comebody asked me if the Z3 lineup will be 2.5, 3.0, 3.4L somewhere down the road and i said yes and my reasons were similar to what Fred said but i doubt the 2.8L model will be dropped until the 3.0L is available and i don't think the 3.0L will be available til the 3.4L is ready (and my guess that won't be till at least half way thru MY2000)

: : i still think we will always see 3 engine choices for the Z3, but i am not saying that Fred's suggestion of just the 2.5 and the M availble isn't a possibility i just don't think it is very likely

: : thank god we have the archives and we can check it in another 10 months or so when we know what the lineup really will be

: : Bruce
