: ...last night heading west on route 78 in NJ. he tried to break one of the main principles of physics, the one where two bodies of mass cannot occupy the same time and space simultaneously. pulled in my lane before his rear cleared my front...we locked, i unlocked us and headed for the shoulder, he took off in a BLAST. no stop, no license number...
: . thankfully i was driving the 4 Runner and NOT the /MZ3.... still a nice chunk of 8 week old fender ripped off, but i walked away easily... and the Roadster was safe and sound in the garage. whew!
: seriously, though, Fred - glad to hear things are looking up for you and Mom and the car!
: : I don't know who is more pissed, my mother with her walker, or me on a 70 DegF sunny Friday with no Z3 (thanks for the Friday night drive post!)
: : Finally some good news. I was perusing my $2400 damage appraisal ("Damage consistent with impact with animal" -- damned observant considering the fur caught in my windshield molding) and saw the words "TAPE STRIPES"! Excuse me, but tape stripes are something you use to tart up a Toyota. The pinstripe on my Z3 was painted by an artist. I faxed Valley BMW -- no tape! Within 15 minutes I received a call from them. They did indeed recognize real pinstriping and will have the striping painted on the new hood. I am beginning to feel better about this. The only downside was that Giampiero is out of Hamann brake ducts, so I will miss the window of having the shop paint them for me (yes, I did buy a $650 get well present for my car).
