: Raccoon 1. Tonight was not a good night, not by any means. I was on my way to a business meeting on Saturday night about 30 miles from home. First, I hit a raccoon going only about 50. I saw it coming across the road and thought if I would veer further to the right it would see me and turn back. Yeah right. It kept right on coming and made a soft thump as I ran over it. Damn. Remember this, for raccoons expect them to keep on coming. Turns out to broke off the black plastic splash shield under the engine. Then I get to the fancy smancy Radisson motel with tons of open parking up front by the lobby. So I go into the second row and take two spaces. We come out a couple hours later and I freak out!! Here is a (yeah, you guessed it) white MINI VAN filling the half space. You could barely walk sideways between our vehicles. And yes, there were still tons of open spaces everywhere. I pulled out into the light to look for door dings and Thank God I found none. Must have been just a driver. And then the frosting on the cake was a Ford Cobra taunted me on the way home making sure he managed a red light lined up next to me. No I wasn't stupid enough to take on a Cobra with a 2.8 all stock. Last thing I needed at that point was to be eaten for a late night snack!! Goes to show we all have good and bad days!!!
