I have '97 Cosmos Black 1.9 Z3 in Japan.
I kept checking this messageboard, but I think this is something new.

When I turn the ignition key one step forward while pressing the reset button of the odometer, you can see some data (numbers) shown on the odometer display.
Thenafter, WOW, see all these analog meters.

I think it does not harm anything, and the same for all BMW makes.

Can someone let me know what are the meaning of these displayed numbers?

Just to make sure this is the process I did.
1. Turn off the engine.
2. Press the odometer reset button.(keep pressing)
3. Inset the key, and turn one step forward.
4. See what happens.
