I have the dubious pleasure of coming from a Honda-fied family. My brother with his rediculous NSX, and Mum with her "Kermit Green" CRX (new model).

So I have had day-to-day dealings with the 1.6 litre VTEC block, and, truth be known, it isn't half bad. From a pure straight line point of view it (seems to) out accelerate the 1.9. My gues sis it is close to the 2.8 in performance up to the 100mph mark, where the extra hp's of the 2.8 take over.

Why? Cos its lighter. BUT you have to thrash the bo**ocks off it! I mean, we are talking a block that redlines at 8500rmp. A bit like driving a remarkably fast sowing machine.

As for looks (S2000 or CRX), nah, doesn't cut it. If I want a square convertible I'd get a SLK or an MGF.

How about a 1.9 body shell with the NSX engine innit? . I think my bro might notice...
