Let it age!

I have given up on my unsuccessful search for a way to tint the back window, after numerous calls to tint expert shops. The conclusion - there is no way, no even a spray-on tint option. Not even a pre-tint soft piece one can replace with!

That was until I keep running into older (current version minus two) BMW 318/325i convertibles. They all have their soft-plastic back windows aged to a opague yellow color - serving the purpose of a tint!

Now, seriuosly:
- do you think ours will age the same way?
- are later 3-series convertibles faring better, or it is just a matter of time?
- has any of you Texan--owner-with-a-dark-interior figured out a way to tint that back window yet?
