Oh, you mean in a Z3? According to quantum physics, it's the attraction of the mass of the Z3 to the mass of the earth.

But seriously: the Z3 has a lot of safety features you don't find in smaller cars. Like side impact protection bars, for example. Airbags, ABS and so on also add weight.

But the extra chasis-stiffening BMW does on a Roadster is one of the main contributors to its overall weight.
