Sway Bars - Setting (archive)

I've had the RD Swaybars on my 2.8 for a while now.. it's set as front[Loose] and rear[Tight]. I was told however by HMS that this was wrong and that they recommended Tight/Fr and Loose/RR. I briefly looked over the posts several threads below, however I don't quite yet understand understeer/etc and if I do or do not need this. Since I've had the sway bars installed, I do notice a difference and I like it a lot. Should I bother to have the setting changed? (I don't do it myself so would rather not pay somebody to keep changing). What is the advantage of having more/less understeer?

Thanks for any insight,
Michael
