Without a rigid surface (Flat Glass) the film will get air bubbles under it & you will have a terrible looking mess with two tone colors. Air bubbles & film looks cheap & does not go with the BMW image. The windscreen darkens the rear a bit. There used to be this mesh (during the 70's van explosion) that you could put up with tape on the inside to attach the mesh on the window. would work on folding type windows.
