I can't tell you about new prices (although I can caution you that the 1.9l is about to be phased out for a 2.3l), as of (I think, October the new model year).

The US price for this 2.3l is about the same as the 1.9l, so it could be worth waiting for. But check some interesting posts on this Board from a couple of days ago from people who think the 1.9l is better than the 2.8l, and that the engine will be better than the 2.3l.

I've also noticed recently a few 1 year old 1.9ls going for about A$56K, with around 10K kms on the clock. If they're anything like my 1yo 1.9l, that's a pretty good price, as the car is still in showroomish condition, but the engine is much freer now that it is run in.
