My local dealer told me that the 1.9l engine is actually made in Germany, then shipped to the USA for inclusion into the chassis, therefore we ARE likely to see the 1.9 continuing in OZ. Personally I'd like the 2.0l six which is a sweeeet little engine. Double vanos on it would be nice... After all, if Suzuki can make a 2.0l V8 pumping out 250 odd Kilowatts (twin turbo) BMW should be able to screw at least 125Kw out of a fairly 'plain' 6cyl 2 liter...

Regards, Greg.

Sob story of the week... I just heard recently BMW Aust had a garage sale to move some 'old' stock... Like a 3.0l (euro) M engine for just $6k!!! That's HALF the cost of installing a Mosselmann Turbo on a 1.9 !!!

Its enough to make you cry...
