The 235/40s were a closer fit to the overall height of the stock tires they were replacing. With the Breyton wheel, there was a chance of rubbing with full suspension compression while turning. Granted, I may never compress the suspension while turning, it seemed the best choice. Also, if I ever went with a Dinan Suspension conversion, I needed to go with the 40-series for the same reason.
What did you put on the back? Up to a 275/40 would have fit, but I didn't want to look like a jacked-up Chevelle...
