If what I know about the 'chips' (or reprograms) that are done by people like Dinan etc. they actually ADVANCE the timing to squeeze out extra power... Now if BMW goes and RETARDS it by 6 degrees what's that going to do to the people who've been 'chipped' already? And, will it blow away the 'chip' program altogether?
