:1. What is the oil temp of our 6 cylinders when up to operating temps?

my oil temp guage is usually straight up which i believe is about 230

: 2. How much longer does it take to reach normal oil temp after the water temp is up to normal? (I want to know this because you're really not suppose to "get on it" until after the oil temp is up to normal.) Thanks!

i hav enever really looked to see how long it takes for the oil temp to reach straight up, but i do know it takes about 2 miles or so to get the water temp up to normal (this in texas mornings when the temp is probably high 70s/low 80s) and the oil temp gets to 140 (where the owner's manual says it needs to be before any hard acceleraion) a mile or so later

i noticed when i took some laps at the track sunday the oil temp was pushing 260 after about 6 laps...will let you know what is does when i do more time on the track
