I don't think the 1.9's have limited slip diffs.
On cars w/o limited slip diffs when you nail it the torque reaction unloads the right rear tire and it does most of the spinning.

Classic hot rodder scenario, right rear tire goes first.
Usually alighnment probs will cause inside or outside of tire to wear faster, not right or left tire.
It's very common on independent rears to have the tires tilted in at the top, causing the insides to wear faster.
If you push it hard around corners a lot usually the outside of the front and rear tires will wear faster.
